I became curious about Communication Design and excited when I discovered that I could use my research and creativity to visually problem solve—inspired by the multitude of opportunities within the discipline—from publication to UI/UX and research strategies. Primarily inspired by storytelling and the way we use tools to communicate ideas. Depending on the type of story, brand, or client you work with, the idea of creating elements and strategies to tell a story is critical to storytelling. Using different information to create one story can make a more memorable and stronger connection.

I have learned that there is no limit to creativity and inspiration in the field of design. My goal is to create meaningful work that will positively impact the world around me. Now I feel confident that I can challenge myself to see, understand, and solve design problems through a unique lens based on my background. I have discovered (and still am finding) a unique visual language to express design solutions that make a difference.

Studying Communication Design has allowed me to express my creativity and personality daily, by using design, illustration, and typography. I look forward to building and finding new skills and improving the ones I already have as I continue my career in Communication Design.
