The Chicano Movement is a huge part of Colorado’s history. However, not a lot of people know about it. I didn’t know about it until I went to my first Chicano’s History class. Being the first generation in my family, I needed to learn many things by myself and about my culture. However, my little brother doesn’t know anything about our heritage or was never really taught about our history. So, I created a concept of leading people and kids about Chicano History through a memory card game. To teach generations about who were the people that marched and struggled for social justice and the events that the Chicanos created for a better future. My project is a brief history of the voices of the Chicano Movement, here in Colorado.
